Cultural Day

We are back here again! Second group was led by Mr. Mok together with 5 team members surprises the children in PECH. Together with the children, we have prepared a scrumptious lunch with cross-cultural cuisine. The menu of the day includes Aglio-Olio Seafood Spaghetti, Creamy Mushroom Soup, Golden Garlic Bread, and Fruity Jelly Cocktail, all prepared by the children assisted by Mr. Mok and teammates.

The program launched with an informal ice-breaking session to introduce one another and get to know each other in order to cook better. Next, the children were divided into 2 groups to compete in Travia Game, where they were tested on their general knowledge on cultural topic. The children were very active thru-out the entire game and the most answered team got to win the best prizes. Of course, there are prizes for losing team.

After the Trivia game, we started off with the long awaited cooking session. The children were excited to be exposed with knowledge on each ingredients and ways of cooking safely.

Overall, the children enjoyed the cooking experience and the delicious home-cooked food prepared together with Hume Cement members. It was indeed an unforgettable experience for the children and Mr. Mok’s team.
