Hume Cement’s Panda Mascot made its appearance at the Archidex 2015. The Panda mascot was a popular star attraction during the Four-day long expo. Hume Cement’s Panda Mascot served as the model for the Snap, Pose, Win contest where Hume Cement Booth visitors were asked to snap a picture of themselves creatively posing with the Hume Cement Panda or Panda Sculpture and posting the pictures on the Hume Cement’s Facebook page with the Hash tags #HumeCement and #HCMTArchi15. Prizes were presented to the Top 20 pictures to receive the most likes.
This expo was a unique opportunity for Hong Leong Industries’ Seven Operating Companies to participate in the same event. As one of the seven operating companies, Hume Cement has always strived to be different from other cement companies. Instead of sticking to the conventional way of selling cement, Hume Cement took a different approach by displaying a Panda Sculpture that was made of cement and was painted by orphans from Praise’s Emmanuel Church Home who were adopted by Hume Cement this year.read more..
In June 2014, China presented 2 pandas to Malaysia as a symbol of the strong relations between Malaysia and China. To welcome the pandas, Hume Cement and Zoo Negara launched the ‘Let’s visit Panda’ campaign in November 2014 to December 2014.
