Event/ Activity Summary

We successfully concluded Hume Cement's Safety, Health & Environment Week 2024 with an engaging and educational Family Day on 12th October 2024! The event, themed "Be Safe for Our Family," brought together employees and their families for a day of fun, safety awareness, and community bonding.

We were honored to have esteemed VIP guests, including:

• Encik Basharuddin Bin Abdul Rahman, Deputy Director of Operations, Occupational Health and Safety Department, State of Perak
• Dr. Farhan Syahirah Bt Samsi, Medical Officer, Kota Bharu Health Clinic
• Mr. William Tan Kok Siang, Managing Director, Hume Cement Sdn Bhd
• Mr. Pramod Kumar, Head of Plant, Hume Cement Sdn Bhd.

We were also pleased to welcome Heads of departments along with representatives from Changkat Legong Village, Kota Bharu Village, Changkat Tualang Village, Changkat Belulang Village, and Bunga Tanjung Village, as well as our dedicated employees and their families who joined us to celebrate this special day.

In addition, a total of 160 kg of e-waste and 200 kg of used cooking oil were collected from employees at the Gopeng plant and PJ City for recycling, showcasing our commitment to sustainability.

Highlights of the day included:

• Prize presentations for the Safety Week competitions
• A coloring contest for kids
• Fun Family Day activities like the Soopa Doopa Inflatable Playground, Exotic Animal Petting Zoo, and more!
• Exhibitions by the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), SOCSO, and the Fire Department
